Trade shows are excellent for marketing, networking, and staying on top of emerging trends and innovations. For us, at InSoft, they’re a great opportunity to meet our customers. In the past, we were diligently present at drupa, and the two weeks of intense activity were good for us. In a departure from the usual, we began to wonder, do we wait for years to engage with our customers? Is it not better to invest our efforts in staying in touch with our customers throughout the year, virtually or otherwise?
Connecting with Customers
Though the Covid years were devastating, they brought about changes in the way we work: Online meetings have developed to the point of being a superbly practical option. We have found that both existing and prospective customers have fully embraced online engagement since the second half of 2020. Given this shift in work style, we now find ourselves asking: Are long trade shows relevant anymore to customers shopping for software, especially if we are accessible all the time online?
We believe that, for us, continuous engagement with customers is important. Software development cycles are short, and therefore the engagement with customers must be frequent. Developing and selling software products globally for 14 years now, we have found that this continuous engagement with our customers has benefitted all stakeholders: our customers and their customers and our developers. This has led us to decide on giving drupa 2024 a pass.
We remain available to our customers online. In addition, we plan to host and participate in short duration trade shows, focused events, user conferences, and travel to meet customers at their facilities.
At InSoft….
…we have been dedicated for the past 15 years to simplifying complexity, focusing exclusively on the all-important starting point of the print chain: Layout Planning. It is the world’s first, and likely the only, automation and optimization software for layout planning (imposition and ganging) targeted at a wide range of print products. This single software has automated and optimized imposition and ganging for book-of-one, folding cartons, labels, rigid boxes, cups & lids, large format, direct-to-film segments of the print industry.
From 2010, when our product debuted at IPEX – Birmingham, until today, constant innovation driven by solving customer problems, has kept us way ahead of the pack. InSoft customers benefit from unique algorithms and software intelligence, developed over years of tinkering and problem solving. Unlike LLMs, the AI embedded in our products is accurate, reliable, efficient, and without any biases. This has made our software the gold standard of automated imposition and layout planning.
At Drupa 2024, visit our partner Four Pees at Booth F06, Hall 07 for a live demonstration of our standalone software. Additionally, explore our API integrated module at our print MIS/ERP partners.
