Bombay Master Printers’ Association (BMPA) has been organizing “Print Summit”, a one day event, for over a decade at National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA) in the financial capital of India, Mumbai city. InSoft Automation was felicitated for their Award-Winning Technology “Imp” by BMPA.

Print Summit 2017 this year was on January 24 and it was day packed with eminent speakers from Military, Medicine and Social Engineering who shared their vision for Success, Passion, Creating opportunities and Health for Daily Living.

BMPA’s team that organized this event did a fabulous job. It was obvious each member of Print Summit 2017 organizing team toiled to ensure the whole day was engaging. It was more like a Knowledge Seminar in a reputed Business Management School. The goal was to enrich the knowledge of Printing Community in India to attain greater heights in a challenging environment.

Moderator Iqbal Kherodawala was energetic throughout the day. Fred Poonawala, Mehul Desai, Faheem Agboatwala, Prashant Shah, seventeen time Mumbai Marathon runner Amit Shah and entire team deserve appreciation for planning and making this event a success.

Syed Ata Hasnain – Lieutenant General (Retd.), India’s most decorated General, now a reputed military and strategic analyst started the day with keynote address and energised the audience with his talk on “Passion in the Heart & Fire in the Belly . His talk on Hard and Soft Management and his experiences enthused the audience and received standing Ovation.

After a robust start by General, Faheem Agboatwala, Director, Hi-Tech Print Services continued the momentum with presentation on serious topic of embracing disruptive emerging technologies titled “Looking Ahead of the “S” Curve”.

After two heavily loaded talks, reputed journalist Mr. Shekhar Gupta relaxed the audience with humorous start. Mr. Gupta spoke on universal leadership qualities for success with examples from Past President of USA, Ronald Reagan to current Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi.

After an elaborate delicious Indian Lunch, Sonam Wangchuk, recipient of many awards like “The Green Teacher Award; Rolex Award for Enterprise 2016; Governor’s Medal for Educational Reform in Jammu & Kashmir” to name a few, was inspiring and shared his experiences on education system, sustaining environment, in his talk titled “Turning Adversities into Opportunities”. An amazing story of what a person from a snow covered tiny village region with no school can do to the education, environment and society. This real-life story touched one and all and obviously received a standing ovation.

Prof. Dr. B M Hegde’s prescription on the serious subject of “Science of Health for Daily Living” was light hearted and filled with humour. Dr. Hegde’s expressed concern on commercialization of noble profession like medicine and provided prescription to avoid getting into the trap of series of diagnostic tests in life and living a worry free, stress free healthy life. No wonder this speech also received standing ovation. The last program before Dinner & cocktails was a great entertainer – Musical Tambola.

Mehul Desai, Founder & Chairman, Mail Order Solutions explained the importance of looking at the larger picture in business in his presentation titled “30 MAD Minutes”. Followed by CN Ashok of Autoprint presentation on “Will the NextGen Inherit?”. Lead sponsors Canon & Komori also made their presentations.

Sonam Wanchuk’s talk was followed with felicitation of InSoft Automation for their innovative software Imp, as touchstone of Print India’s Enterprise and Innovation. Imp software’s unique methodology has huge response in America, Europe, Australia and Asia. BMPA was proud that InSoft was awarded prestigious 2016 InterTech™ Technology Award by Printing Industries of America.

Overall a fabulous Knowledge seminar with elaborate breakfast, lunch and cocktail dinner. This engaging day started at 9:00 AM and went on till mid night. This was also a great networking opportunity for Indian Printing Industry with industry stalwarts spending an entire day. We are already looking forward to next year’s Print Summit.
